PNEUMATIC TRANSPORT SYSTEMS
Vacuum (Negative Pressure) Transport Systems
Vacuum transport systems are widely used for collecting materials to one line from different stations. Pressure related problems seen on positive pressure systems will be eliminated since the pressure difference will stay low through feeding equipments in negative pressure systems, thus enabling a cost advantage for negative pressure systems on feeding equipments like rotary feeders.
Vacuum transport systems are also suitable for moving bulk materials out of open top silos and stocking areas, which is done by means of suction nozzles. Another advantage of vacuum transport systems is that only leakage is the environment gas entering inwards through the line rather than out, thus ensuring a dust-free transport. This property is extremely important where toxic-explosive materials are transported or where environment conditions should be closely monitored.
